My journey to holistic health began in 2019 when I learned my autoimmune disease stemmed from the Gardasil vaccine I had received roughly 13 years prior. At the time, I was in a wheelchair due to multiple health complications resulting primarily from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and dizziness due to nystagmus. 

 

Before 2019, the only alternative health practice I knew was chiropractic care. Despite being advised against chiropractic care by my allopathic pain management team, I started seeing a chiropractor in 2016. My chiropractor has helped me successfully manage cervical lordosis (abnormal, excessive inward curvature of the neck) and scoliosis. But my health struggles ran very deep.

 

Over the years, I had also been diagnosed with:

 

​Asthma

Chronic Migraines

Complex Ovarian Cysts

Epilepsy

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

Gastrointestinal Disease

Hormonal Acne

Insomnia

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Reactive Airway Disease

In my mid-20s, I went from doctors to specialists, even discovery centers, trying to figure out what was generating the symptoms that kept me wheelchair-bound. Unfortunately, despite taking over twenty pharmaceuticals,  no one ever had explanations, so I had to figure it out independently.

 

In 2019, I started removing everyday toxins by slowly transitioning my personal and home care products to all-natural, toxin-free alternatives. Although I noticed a difference, this was just the beginning. Only so much can be done from the outside before you must focus on the inside.

 

In 2020, I adopted a plant-based and natural lifestyle, influenced by the book How Not to Die by Dr. Michael Greger, which discusses the discovery between foods and diseases. Although, at the time, I was still wheelchair dependent, I decided to stop taking all over-the-counter and prescription medications.  I soon learned the medications that were supposed to be helping me were the very reason I was riddled with detrimental side effects.

 

My symptoms began to subside within two weeks of treating myself 100% naturally. The chronic pain I once experienced is now minimal. Symptoms of epilepsy are controlled. The dizziness is completely gone. Asthmatic symptoms have vanished. Insomnia is a thing of the past. Overall, I feel fantastic.

In my free time, I spend time with my husband and family whenever I want without canceling plans due to dizziness or pain. My service dog was able to retire. Oh, and did I mention I am no longer in a wheelchair?
